چکیده

The use of probiotics is an innovation in effort to increase production and fight pathogens aquaculture cultivation environments. Probiotic candidate microorganisms are selected selectively ensure that the used safe provide benefits for host environment. This study aims select probiotic candidates based on aspects growth sensitivity antibiotics from 4 isolates Bacillus abalone (Haliotis asinina). Growth observations were carried out by turbidimetric method using a spectrophotometer at wavelength 600 nm SWC media, antibiotic was tested Rifampicin, Gentamicin, Kanamycin, Erythromycin well-diffusion agar method. analysis described curve OD value, susceptibility diameter inhibition zone. results showed four spp. had short lag phase, ranging 1-2 hours, exponential phase 15 hours B. pumilus SLK1 licheniformis SLK2 isolates, 12 coagulans CaK1 CaK6 isolates. Antibiotic sensitive all antibiotics, while SLK2, only Rifampicin Gentamicin antibiotics. ideal isolate with good does not have resistance properties, this has potential as

Genetic heterogeneity of the tropical abalone (Haliotis asinina) revealed by RAPD and microsatellite analyses.

Genetic heterogeneity of the tropical abalone, Haliotis asinina was examined using randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) and microsatellite analyses. One hundred and thirteen polymorphic RAPD fragments were generated. The percentage of polymorphic bands of H. asinina across overall primers was 85.20%. The average genetic distance of natural samples within the Gulf of Thailand (HACAME and HA...

Feeding Preferences and the Nutritional Value of Tropical Algae for the Abalone Haliotis asinina

Understanding the feeding preferences of abalone (high-value marine herbivores) is integral to new species development in aquaculture because of the expected link between preference and performance. Performance relates directly to the nutritional value of algae--or any feedstock--which in turn is driven by the amino acid content and profile, and specifically the content of the limiting essentia...

Differentially-Expressed Genes Associated with Faster Growth of the Pacific Abalone, Haliotis discus hannai

The Pacific abalone Haliotis discus hannai is used for commercial aquaculture in Korea. We examined the transcriptome of Pacific abalone Haliotis discus hannai siblings using NGS technology to identify genes associated with high growth rates. Pacific abalones grown for 200 days post-fertilization were divided into small-, medium-, and large-size groups with mean weights of 0.26 ± 0.09 g, 1.43 ±...

Antibiotic Sensitivity of Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale Isolates Associated with Respiratory Diseases.

187 commercial checken flocks affected with respiratory diseases were examined for Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale isolation. The bacterium was isolated from 105 (56.2%) poultry flocks. Drug sensitivity test using standard disk diffusion technique was performed with 19 antibiotics. All the isolates were susceptible to tiamulin and most of them were susceptible to chloramphenicol and linco-spect...
